Politics of Syria refers to the political arrangement in Syria. Syria is currently a presidential republic governed by a transitional government under the Constitutional Declaration of the Syrian Arab Republic. Legislative power is vested in the parliament, executive power is in the president and the Council of Ministers, while judicial power is headed by the Supreme Judicial Council.
