Pochvennichestvo
Pochvennichestvo (/ˈpɒtʃvɛnɪtʃɛstvoʊ/ POTCH-veh-NITCH-est-voh; Russian: почвенничество, IPA: [ˈpot͡ɕvʲɪnnʲɪt͡ɕɪstvə], roughly "return to the native soil", from почва "soil") was a late 19th-century movement in Russia that tied in closely with its contemporary ideology, Slavophilia.
