Malkot (Judaism)
Malkot (Hebrew: מלקות, lit. 'whipping'), sometimes translated as "flogging" or "lashes", is a type of flagellation, and a punishment mentioned in the Torah. The punishment was given to Jews who violated one of Mitzvah's lo te'aseh bemeizid.
