Hansonism is the political ideology of Pauline Hanson, the leader of One Nation, and those who follow her. It was established in 1996 in the lead-up to the 1996 federal election after Hanson was expelled from the Liberal Party for her controversial positions regarding Aboriginal Australians. The term has been used since 1998, and was included in the Australian National Dictionary in 2018.
