Turkey participated in the 1959 Mediterranean Games held in Beirut, Lebanon, from 11 to 23 October 1959. The Turkish delegation consisted of 91 male athletes within a total group of 117 people. Turkey won a total of 22 medals—13 gold, 8 silver, and 1 bronze—finishing third in the overall medal standings.

Turkish athletes competed in athletics, shooting, basketball, cycling, boxing, fencing, football, wrestling, weightlifting, and volleyball at the Games. In wrestling, Turkish athletes won gold medals in all eight weight classes of freestyle and achieved 4 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze in Greco-Roman wrestling, finishing first in the team standings. Among the Turkish officials at the Games, Sulhi Garan officiated in football, Tevfik Artun in basketball, and Ahmet Yener in wrestling.
