James C. Holperin (born December 18, 1950) is a retired American politician from Vilas County, Wisconsin. He represented northern Wisconsin for 16 years in the Wisconsin Legislature, serving 4 years in the Wisconsin Senate (2009–2012) and 12 years in the State Assembly (1983–1995). He also served as secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism during the first term of Governor Jim Doyle, from 2003 to 2007. He is the only state legislator in history to face two recall elections (1990 and 2011), surviving both.
