Howard Morton Metzenbaum (June 4, 1917 – March 12, 2008) was an American politician and businessman who served as a United States senator from Ohio in 1974, and again from 1976 to 1995. A member of the Democratic Party, he also served in the Ohio General Assembly from 1943 to 1951.
