EG Australia is the Australian subsidiary of the British company EG Group. The company operates the EG Ampol chain of petrol stations and convenience stores, selling Ampol fuel and retail goods across Australia.

As of March 2026, the company operates more than 512 service stations nationwide. The network was acquired from Woolworths Group in April 2019 for approximately A$1.72 billion.

Before the sale, the chain operated under several brands including Woolworths Plus Petrol (1996–2003) and Caltex Woolworths (2003–2022). In Victoria, the chain also operated under the name Caltex Safeway until the mid-2010s.

Following the acquisition, the network was progressively rebranded as EG Ampol between July and December 2022 after Ampol reintroduced its brand name in place of Caltex.

In August 2025, EG Group agreed to sell its Australian business to Ampol. If approved by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, the acquisition is expected to be completed in mid-2026.
