Damascus is a small town in Washington County, Virginia, United States. As of the 2020 census, Damascus had a population of 788. It is part of the KingsportBristol (TN)Bristol (VA) Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is a component of the Johnson City–Kingsport–Bristol, TN-VA Combined Statistical Area (commonly known as the "Tri-Cities" region). The town suffered flooding and devastation as a result of Hurricane Helene in 2024.
