Canale 5 (Italian: [kaˈnaːle ˈtʃiŋkwe]) is an Italian free-to-air television channel owned by Mediaset. In 1980, it became the first private television network to achieve national coverage in Italy. The channel is aimed mainly at an adult audience and its programming is geared towards entertainment, including movies and TV series.
