Zone (vestment)

The zone (/ˈzoʊnɛ/ ZOH-neh or /ˈzoʊni/ ZOH-nee; Greek: ζώνη, romanized: zṓnē) is a form of girdle or belt common in the ancient Eastern Mediterranean. In ancient Greece, the zone was traditionally worn by women.
