Yasuhiro Morinaga (森永 泰弘, Morinaga Yasuhiro; born August 1, 1980) is a sound artist having a particular interest in anthropology and storytelling. Morinaga refines ethnographic methods, practicing interdisciplinary projects that document and explore the origins of musical instruments, the cosmology of rituals, and indigenous technology. Morinaga's practices encourage a sensory awareness.
Morinaga also works as a sound designer and music director for the feature films, documentaries, performing arts, cooperate installations. Morinaga has been engaged in a role of curation for the ethnographic media production and lab, CONCRETE. Since 2021, He has been based in Lisbon, Portugal.
