Yaizu (焼津市, Yaizu-shi) is a city located in central Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. As of 31 January 2026, the city had an estimated population of 133,916 in 61,125 households, and a population density of 1,905 persons per km2. The total area of the city is 70.31 square kilometres (27.15 sq mi). Yaizu is a noted port for commercial fishing.
