Ya Ali (phrase)

Ya Ali (Arabic: يَا عَلِيّ, romanized: Yā ʿAlī) is an Arabic phrase used by Shia Muslims to invoke the memory or intervention of Ali ibn Abi Talib. It is especially used in the context of the mourning of Muharram.
