Xicoténcatl, Tamaulipas

Xicoténcatl is a city and its surrounding municipality in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. On March 15, 1751, it was founded as Villa de Escandón. On October 27, 1828, it was renamed Xicoténcatl.
