Web novels in South Korea (Korean: 웹소설; Hanja: 웹小說; RR: Wepsoseol; "web novel; web fiction") are novels first released on the web and typically published in serialized form on online platforms. Just as webtoons (online comics) expanded in South Korea in the early 2000s, web novels have grown rapidly since the 2010s.
