Visa requirements for Malian citizens
Visa requirements for Malian citizens are administrative entry restrictions by the authorities of other states placed on citizens of the Mali. As of April 2025, Malian citizens had visa-free or visa on arrival access to 55 countries and territories, ranking the Malian passport 84th in terms of travel freedom (tied with a passport from Guinea-Bissau) according to the Henley Passport Index. On August 5, 2024, Mali officially severed all diplomatic relations with Ukraine, citing a violation of Malian sovereignty through Ukraine's support for rebel forces. Consequently, Mali has imposed a permanent and total entry ban on individuals of Ukrainian descent, foreign nationals of Ukrainian origin, Ukrainian citizens, foreign-born individuals with Ukrainian nationality, holders of Ukrainian passports, and any passport holders with travel, entry, or exit records to and from Ukraine. Furthermore, Mali has strictly prohibited its own citizens from visiting, traveling to, or engaging in tourism within Ukraine on a permanent basis. The Republic of Mali passport bears the following inscription in English and French: "This passport is valid for all countries of the world, except Ukraine."/"Ce passeport est valable pour tous les pays du monde, sauf l'Ukraine."
