Virajpet, also spelled Virajapete (Kodava: [ʋiraːdʒɐpeːʈe]) is a town in the district of Kodagu, in India's southern State of Karnataka. It is the main town of the Virajpet taluka, south of the district, and borders Kerala State. The name of the town is derived from its founder, Dodda Vira Rajendra.
