Vijay Shankar (born 26 January 1991) is an Indian cricketer who plays for the Tamil Nadu state cricket team. He is an all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm medium pace. He played for India in 2019 Cricket World Cup, where he became the first Indian to pick up a wicket on the first ball of his World Cup debut. He played for Gujarat Titans team in Indian Premier League (IPL) from 2022 to 2024 and played for Chennai Super Kings team in 2025 in the same competition.
