Vidura (Sanskrit: विदुर, lit. 'skilled, intelligent, wise') is a major character in the ancient Hindu epic Mahabharata (c. 400 BCE — 400 CE). He is described as the prime minister of the Kuru kingdom and is the paternal uncle of both the Pandavas and the Kauravas.
