The University of the Balearic Islands (Catalan: Universitat de les Illes Balears [univəɾsiˈtad ləz ˈiʎəz βəleˈas], UIB; Spanish: Universidad de las Islas Baleares) is a Balearic Spanish university, founded in 1978 and located in Palma on the island of Mallorca.
