The United States Army Signal Corps (USASC) is a branch of the United States Army responsible for establishing and managing communication and information systems for the command and control of combined arms forces. It manages new technologies and capability portfolios which are eventually transferred to other U.S. government entities; these responsibilities include military intelligence, weather forecasting, and aviation.
