The High Cost of Living is a 2010 indie drama film starring Zach Braff, Isabelle Blais and Aimee Lee. Written and directed by Deborah Chow and set in Montreal, The film centers on a young, pregnant woman whose world falls apart when she is involved in a hit-and-run accident that forces her to carry her dead child until its birth, and a grief-stricken drug dealer whose life becomes intertwined with hers as both struggle to cope with loss, guilt, and the consequences of their choices.

The film made its debut at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival, and was released theatrically in April 2011. It won TIFF's award for Best Canadian First Feature Film.
