Sylt (German pronunciation: [zʏlt] ⓘ; Danish: Sild; Söl'ring North Frisian: Söl) is a municipality on the island of Sylt in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It has around 13,000 inhabitants and covers about 60% of the area of the island.
