Suraphol Sombatcharoen (Thai: สุรพล สมบัติเจริญ; 25 September 1930 – 16 August 1968) was a Thai singer-songwriter. Dubbed the "King of Luk Thung", he is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the development of luk thung music. In 2016, he was posthumously honored as a Burapasilpin in the field of performing arts by Princess Sirindhorn. He also served in the Royal Thai Air Force from 1950 until his assassination by gunshot in 1968.
