A Sunnah prayer (Arabic: صلاة السنة, romanized: Salāt as-Sunnah) is a type of optional or non-obligatory ritual prayer performed by Muslims in addition to the five daily obligatory prayers. These prayers are associated with the practices of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad and are considered commendable.
