Sunetra Ajitdada Pawar (born Sunetra Bajirao Patil; 18 October 1963) is an Indian politician serving as the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra alongside Eknath Shinde. She is the first woman to hold the office. She also serves as the president of the Nationalist Congress Party and has previously represented Maharashtra in the Rajya Sabha. She is the widow of her predecessor and husband, Ajit Pawar, who was killed in a plane crash in 2026.
