Location

St. George is a station on Line 1 Yonge–University and Line 2 Bloor–Danforth of the Toronto subway. It is located north of Bloor Street West between St. George Street and Bedford Road, near the north-central portion of the University of Toronto St. George campus.

The station opened in 1963 as the northern terminus of Line 1's extension under University Avenue, and its second platform opened alongside Line 2 in 1966. St. George is the second-busiest station in the system after Bloor–Yonge station, serving a combined total of approximately 209,994 people a day.
