Specialized high schools in New York City

Within the public school system of New York City, nine specialized high schools serve academically and artistically gifted students. Eight of the schools require the Specialized High Schools Admissions Test (SHSAT) for admission, while Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School requires an audition or portfolio.
