Southern Kurdish, also known by its endonym Xwarin, is a Kurdish language variety, spoken predominantly in northeastern Iraq and western Iran. The Southern Kurdish-speaking region spans from Khanaqin in Iraq to Dehloran southward and Asadabad eastward in Iran.
