Sorkheh (Persian: سرخه), whose name is often interpreted as “The Red One,” is a city in the Central District of Sorkheh County, Semnan province, Iran, serving as capital of the county. Sorkheh was the capital of Sorkheh District until its capital was transferred to the village of Lasjerd when the district was renamed the Central District in 2021.
