Soft-collinear effective theory

In phenomenology (physics), soft-collinear effective theory (or SCET) is an effective field theory of quantum chromodynamics (QCD) which describes the interactions of low-energy quarks and gluons. QCD exists as the ultraviolet limit of the theory.
