The Society for Philosophy of Religion (SPR) is an American learned society founded in 1938 and is a forum for the interchange of ideas in the philosophy of religion. It holds meetings annually and sponsors the International Journal for Philosophy of Religion, published by Springer. The society was formerly known as The Southern Society for Philosophy of Religion and dropped the word 'Southern' from its title in 1971.
