"Shimmer" is a song by American alternative rock group Fuel. It was first released in May 1996 as part of their third EP, Porcelain, and was later released as the lead single from their debut album, Sunburn (1998), in February 1998. Written by Carl Bell, the single peaked at number two on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart, number 11 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, and number 42 on the Billboard Hot 100. According to Billboard, "Shimmer" was the fourth-most-played song on alternative radio stations in the United States in 1998.
