Sarah Jane Friar OBE (born 24 December 1972) is an Irish-American business executive, who has been the chief financial officer (CFO) of OpenAI since June 2024. She was the chief executive officer of American technology company Nextdoor from 2018 to 2024 and the CFO of Block, Inc. (formerly Square, Inc.) from 2012 to 2018.
