Romanian Derby

The Romanian Derby (Romanian: Derby-ul Român) is a horse race run annually in Ploiești, Romania, over a distance of 2,400 metres, open to three-year-old thoroughbred colts and fillies. Generally, a derby (named after the Derby Stakes, inaugurated in 1780) is considered to be the most important kind of horse race.
