The Archdiocese of Indianapolis (Latin: Archidioecesis Indianapolitana) is a diocese of the Catholic Church in Indiana in the United States. Erected as the Diocese of Vincennes in 1834, it was renamed the Diocese of Indianapolis in 1898. It was elevated to a metropolitan archdiocese in 1944. Charles Thompson is the archbishop.
