Riyasat (Islam)

Riyasat (Serbo-Croatian: rijaset, ријасет; Bulgarian: старшинство) is a main executive body of the Islamic communities in the Balkan region. The head of a riyasat is the reis-ul-ulema, equivalent to the grand mufti of a grand muftiate.
