Richard Paul Matsch (/mʃ/; June 8, 1930 – May 26, 2019) was an American judge who served as United States district judge of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. Confirmed to the bench in 1974, and serving as chief judge from 1994 to 2000 before taking senior status in 2003, he was best known for presiding over the trials of Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols, who perpetrated the Oklahoma City bombing.
