Richard Levis McCormick (born December 26, 1947) is an American historian and university administrator. He served as the interim president of Stony Brook University from 2024 to 2025, as the 19th president of Rutgers University from 2002 to 2012, as the 28th president of the University of Washington from 1995 to 2002, and as the provost of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1992 to 1995.
