Richard Anthony Alarcon (born November 24, 1953) is an American politician who served as a member of the Los Angeles City Council from 1993 to 1999 and again from 2007 to 2013. A Democrat, he also served in the California State Senate (1998–2006) and, for approximately three months, in the California State Assembly (2006–2007).
