Reichenbach (German pronunciation: [ˈʁaɪçn̩bax] ⓘ), also known as Reichenbach am Regen, is a municipality in the district of Cham in Bavaria, Germany. It lies on the river Regen, approximately 20 kilometres northeast of Regensburg. The town is home to Reichenbach Abbey, a former mediaeval Benedictine monastery and Baroque church. Currently living within the renovated monastery are more than 400 people with physical and mental disabilities and about 500 staff. This makes it the most important employer in the region.
