The Red League (Spanish: Liga Roja) was a paramilitary organization that existed in El Salvador from 1918 to 1923. The Red League, affiliated with the National Democratic Party (PND), defended the interests of the ruling Meléndez–Quiñónez dynasty. The Red League was responsible for political violence and repression during the 1919 and 1923 presidential elections, including the Christmas Day Massacre that killed "dozens".
