Ranua is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the southern part of the province of Lapland. The municipality has a population of 3,563 (30 June 2025) and covers an area of 3,694.79 square kilometres (1,426.57 sq mi) of which 241.09 km2 (93.09 sq mi) is water. The population density is 1.03 inhabitants per square kilometre (2.7/sq mi). The municipality is unilingually Finnish.

A two-man saw on the municipal coat of arms refers to the local forestry work and the wavy-lined fess to the region's waterways. The coat of arms was designed by Olof Eriksson, and the Ranua Municipal Council approved it at its meeting on June 23, 1959. The Ministry of the Interior confirmed the coat of arms for use on November 23 of the same year.
