Quicksilver (Pietro Django Maximoff) is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in The X-Men #4 (March 1964). Quicksilver is typically portrayed as a speedster with the ability to move and think at extremely high speeds, making him one of the fastest characters in the Marvel Universe according to the publisher's official character guides.

Quicksilver was originally introduced as an antagonist alongside his twin sister, the Scarlet Witch, as members of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Although initially portrayed as an adversary to the X-Men, the character later became a superhero and long-time member of the Avengers. Throughout Marvel continuity he has been depicted as the older twin brother of the Scarlet Witch and was long portrayed as the mutant son of Magneto and a Romani woman Magda, as well as the half-brother of Polaris. He was also formerly married to Crystal of the Inhumans, with whom he has a daughter, Luna. Later stories introduced a retcon in which he and his sister were the subjects of genetic experimentation by the High Evolutionary, altering their previous origins.

Quicksilver has appeared in numerous Marvel comic series over several decades, including starring roles in limited series bearing his name and recurring appearances in stories revolving the Avengers and the X-Men. The character has also appeared in a range of movie, television, and video game adaptations. Two separate live-action versions of Quicksilver have been adapted by two different film studios: Aaron Taylor-Johnson portrayed the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) franchise, appearing in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) as a cameo and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) while Evan Peters portrayed the character in the 20th Century Fox X-Men films. Commentators have identified the character, alongside his sister Wanda, as among the most visible Romani characters in mainstream superhero comics, and have criticized live-action adaptations of both characters for omitting their Romani heritage.
