Qeshm (Persian: قشم) is an arrow-shaped Iranian island in the Strait of Hormuz of the Persian Gulf (26°50′N 56°0′E / 26.833°N 56.000°E), measuring roughly 1,500 square kilometres (576 square miles) in surface area. Separated from the Iranian mainland by the Clarence Strait (Khuran), Qeshm is the largest island in the Persian Gulf. The island is part of Qeshm County, Hormozgan province.
