The Port Blair Municipal Council is the civic body that governs the city of Port Blair, the capital of the Indian union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The council came into existence on 2 October 1957 as per the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Municipal Board's) Regulation enacted on 11 March 1957. It covers an area of 44.22 km2 (17.07 sq mi) and had a population of 140,572 as per the 2011 census.
