The Police of Denmark (Danish: Politiet; Faroese: Løgreglan; Greenlandic: Politiit) is the national police force and the internal part of the Danish security forces (the Danish Defence being the external) in the Danish Realm (Denmark proper, Greenland and Faroe Islands). The police are empowered to enforce the law and to effect public and social order, as well as being responsible for border control.
