Polička (Czech pronunciation: [ˈpolɪtʃka]; German: Politschka) is a town in Svitavy District in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 9,100 inhabitants. Polička is located in the Svitavy Uplands, on the borderline of the historical lands of Bohemia and Moravia. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected as an urban monument zone. Among the notable landmarks are the preserved fortifications and the Baroque town hall.
