Počátky (German: Potschatek) is a town in Pelhřimov District in the Vysočina Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,500 inhabitants. It is situated on both sides of the historical Bohemian-Moravian border. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected as an urban monument zone.
